The Interventional Radiology Department at Ball Hospital is currently seeking motivated, upbeat nurses to join our team! Nurses in this area are trained to monitor sedated patients during procedure. Nurses in IR are also responsible for assisting in the induction of general anesthesia patients. Seeking new and experienced nurses who want to grow while working in a fast-paced environment. The schedule for this role is 8 - 430 pm, 7-330pm, 730-4 pm Monday through Friday. NO WEEKENDS. call every sixth weekend and 1 weekday evening each week. On call hours required. The RN in this role must live within a 30-minute call time or remain within a 30-minute call time during their call shift. If this sounds like the right fit, please apply.

Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requirement of becoming OCN certified within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor sedated patients during procedures.
  • Assist in the induction of general anesthesia patients.
  • Administer moderate sedation and recover patients post-procedure.
  • Assist providers with a variety of Radiology procedures.
  • Acquire knowledge and skills spanning the array of IR procedures.
  • Provide high-quality patient care for patients having interventional radiology procedures.
