Registered Nurse - Intermediate PCU
About The Position
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join this brand new progressive care unit. This PCU Unit is located at our Plaza location in Kansas City, MO and is a Magnet designated facility that is a leader in Academic Medical Centers. This nursing team provides care to post-surgical and medical short stay patients in a fast-paced environment with various acuity levels. Shift: Full Time Nights. This position comes with night and weekend shift differential. This PCU Unit will allow you to gain RN experience with: Fast Paced Environment Variety in acuity levels, conditions and treatments ICU Stabilization Work with patients across all specialties High Patient Turn Over Post-Surgical and Medical Patients This Registered Nurse position on this PCU Unit will allow you to build relationships with your patients in a positive environment led by supportive and engaging leadership that believes in strength driven career pathing. Requirements
- Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Registered Nurse - Various
- Associate Degree
Responsibilities
- Accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
- Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
- Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.
