About The Position
A hospital is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care (ICU) experience
- Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience
- Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- Active New York State RN License
- AHA BLS (required)
- AHA ACLS (required)
- Experience with Cerner and/or EPIC EMR systems
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients
- Perform rapid assessments and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and conscious sedation as ordered
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and laboratory results
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatment progress
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control and hospital protocols
