About The Position

The Registered Nurse Inpatient position involves demonstrating the ability to assess and evaluate data including systematic and ongoing assessment based on patient/family diagnoses/problem list, diagnostic test results, and other clinical information. The nurse will recognize and report changes in patient condition and demonstrate patient/family focus in the provision of care, adhering to standards. The role ensures that delegated nursing care for patients/families is provided according to plans developed by the treatment team and within the confines of the applicable practice acts.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited two-year college or university, or diploma in nursing.
• BSN desired.
• Possession of valid state license as Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas.
• Current BCLS and ACLS required or must be able to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic and ongoing assessments based on patient/family diagnoses/problem list.
• Evaluate diagnostic test results and other clinical information.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition.
• Demonstrate patient/family focus in the provision of care.
• Ensure delegated nursing care is provided according to treatment team plans.
