About The Position

The Northeast Ohio VA Healthcare System is recruiting for a Registered Nurse (Informatics) and falls within the Health Informatics Service. The Registered Nurse (Informatics) assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates hardware and software applications integrated with the electronic health record. The duties of a Registered Nurse (Informatics) include, but are not limited to: Performs workflow analysis and usability testing to ensure the VHA electronic health record operates in a way that improves patient care, ensures safety, and meets the needs of end users. Reads and evaluates evidence- based literature and incorporates new knowledge into critical thinking. Participates in and collects data to monitor quality and effectiveness of nursing and informatics practice. Utilizes, evaluates, documents, analyzes, prioritizes, and recognizes requirements for the improvement of the electronic health record and other systems in collaboration with end user, super users, and service line leaders. Assists stakeholders in identifying and securing appropriate and available services to address identified needs and implement and complete follow- up plans or activities. Demonstrates the following core informatics functions to include content management, application support, health information technology system optimization, enterprise data management, business architecture management, partnership management, requirements management, and change management.

Requirements

  • 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
