About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementation and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, and coordination of care with other health team members. This is a full-time position at the Medical Group Outpatient Clinic, Infectious Disease, working closely with caregivers and providers to help monitor OPAT and HIV patients, chaperone in clinic testing, discharge patients with antibiotic orders, and other clinical responsibilities.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of their hire date.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• >1 year of licensed RN experience.

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.

• Direct the interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration.
• Evaluate patient response to interventions and revise plan of care as indicated.
