Administers patient care in an area where patients come for treatment and typically return home the same day or care takes place in a post-acute transitional care setting. Schedule: PRN; 0630-1900; varying days. More about the role: This role will be supporting our imaging team, working closely with technologists, radiologists and support staff. Collaborates with cardiologists on appropriate medication administration/dosage/contraindication for cardiac medications during CCTA. Monitors patients when pacemakers and defibrillators are turned off for MRIs in addition to monitoring MRI patients on continuous medication drips. Critical thinking required to determine appropriate steps for patient needs, collaborating with physicians and technologists on patients care needs. Must be able to interpret cardiac monitors, proficient in the use of respirators, trach-vented patients and oxygen pumps. Manages contrast reactions by understanding patients history and necessary course of action as directed. Prepares outpatients for imaging procedures by starting IV's, obtaining histories and accessing ports as needed.
