Stroke specialists at Cedars-Sinai form rapid-response teams from various medical fields for diagnosing and treating strokes with innovative technology. Summary of Essential Duties: Coordinate all systems related to acute stroke care delivery including the code brain response. As a member of the core stroke team, you will maintain all competencies associated with core team, including annually at least 8 hours of continuing stroke education, a valid NIH SS certification, & current ACLS. As a stroke team Nurse, you will provide stroke education to patients and their caregivers, significant others, and family members. Develop and maintain ongoing staff stroke education programs, including at least one community outreach event for stroke public awareness per year. Complete data collection sheets & audits of code brains in a timely manner and act a liaison between physicians and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate a seamless continuum of patient care.
