Registered Nurse II - East Campus OR (PRN)
About The Position
Chuck Dawley OR is an adult outpatient surgical facility designed with 2 operating rooms and 1 laser room to accommodate care for Ophthalmology patients. Our facility is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 am until 4:30 pm and closed on major holidays. Nurses in the unit work closely with surgical providers and anesthesia partners to deliver both professional and exceptional care for patients and their families. Our nurses are BLS certified and trained in both the RN circulating and scrub nurse roles. Chuck Dawley Ambulatory Surgery Facility is a Magnet designated, smoke free facility and is Joint Commission Accredited.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
- RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date. Refer to policy A141 for more details.
- A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
- OR experience required.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
