The Clinical Nurse II will work in the CTC clinic as a primary intake nurse in the ambulatory setting. This includes assessments, taking vital signs, height/weight, EKGs, performing 6-minute walk tests, medication review, and appropriate screening. 2. Provides care and patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures 3. To be trained in the infusion center, proficient IV skills a plus. 4. Administration of medications and therapeutic agents vital to implement the treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care 5. Performs skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy and the initiation of peripheral venous access 6. Plans and implements care based on observations. Implements appropriate reporting, referrals and care in accordance with standardized procedures. Initiates emergency procedures when indicated 7. Provides care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds 8. Identifies and assesses patient safety concerns with respect to age and developmental considerations. Intervenes to provide a safe environment and evaluates efficiency of intervention for patients
