Registered Nurse II - ED - Northeast PRN
About The Position
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. This role is within the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) at the COL - Emergency Department (NMC). The Medical University of South Carolina is a large institution with a 750-bed medical center, including a nationally recognized Children’s Hospital, Ashley River Tower, Hollings Cancer Center, a Level I Trauma Center, and the Institute of Psychiatry, along with over 100 outreach clinics and telehealth sites. MUSC Health is nationally recognized, with 11 specialties in the top 50 and a Magnet® designated hospital.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
