Registered Nurse II - Peds Critical Care - Float Team ($30K Sign On Bonus)
About The Position
Meduflex is MUSC Charleston’s inpatient Float Pool, supporting a wide range of patient care units across the downtown campus. Spanning 10 specialized zones and serving both Adult and Pediatric populations, the team offers Registered Nurses (RNs) flexible scheduling and additional float differential pay. In this dynamic zone, you'll gain valuable experience by floating between the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Cardiac ICU, and Neonatal ICU—caring for critically ill and specialized pediatric patients. You’ll also have the flexibility to support Intermediate units and other floors at Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital as needed, giving you a diverse and rewarding nursing experience every day. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- A minimum of one year of pediatric critical care work experience as a registered nurse is required.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
- Some positions require certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to initiate education for BSN within 2 years and complete within four years of hire date.
- Employees are required to sign an agreement regarding the education requirement.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
