Registered Nurse II- Neurology Clinic
About The Position
MUSC Rutledge Tower Outpatient Neurology Clinic provides care for a variety of Neurological Disorders. Some examples include Epilepsy, Memory Disorders, Movement Disorders, Neuromuscular and Stroke. The clinical staff assist with triaging and preparing patients for their appointments, assisting with various procedures to include skin biopsies and Botox injections. The clinical staff helps coordinate patient care and treatment plans through telephone calls and messages. Our team works closely together to ensure our patient’s healthcare needs are met, while encouraging our staff to work to their highest potential in every aspect of patient care. Requirements
- A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
- RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date. Refer to policy A141 for more details.
