About The Position

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. The position is located in the 2N Youth Inpatient unit, a 28 bed Youth psych inpatient unit, serving patients between the ages of 5-17 years old admitted for brief crisis stabilization due to failed outpatient treatment, behavioral disorders, psychotic symptoms and/or risk for self-harm or harm to others.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred unless current MUSC employee.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
