We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse II (RN II) to join our Cedars-Sinai Mighty Marina Del Ray team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a skilled and effective manner. Utilizing strong clinical decision-making skills, you will independently manage routine patient assignments, establish individualized plans of care, set patient-centered goals, determine care priorities, and ensure all care provided meets established standards of practice.

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care in the 1North unit.
  • Communicate with physicians/Nursing Unit Director/Charge Nurses/co-workers about changes in patient's clinical condition.
  • Monitor hemodynamic status, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
  • Document direct and indirect patient care services ensuring safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients.
  • Provide care and patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures.
  • Administer medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care.
  • Perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiate peripheral venous access.
  • Observe signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, and general behavior.
  • Demonstrate refined assessment skills to determine normal versus abnormal characteristics.
  • Plan and implement individualized patient care based on observations.
  • Provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Identify and assess patient safety concerns with respect to age and developmental considerations.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience required.
  • Current and active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
