About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU at Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley provides direct patient care in a high-acuity environment. Requirements

• Current CA RN License
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
• Minimum of one year prior acute care RN experience
• Minimum of one year prior ICU RN experience
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing environments
• Knowledge of current trends in healthcare and hospital administration.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients by collecting and documenting data through interviews and physical assessments.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and monitor for adverse responses.
• Educate patients and families on self-care and illness prevention.
• Recognize and communicate ethical and legal issues related to patient care.
• Attend meetings and serve on departmental committees as assigned.
