About The Position

Earn a $20,000 Commitment Bonus. Central Carolina Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The hospital is a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to employee well-being and making communities healthier. The ICU is an 8-bed unit providing care for a diverse patient population of ICU and ICU Stepdown patients. Nurses typically work 12-hour shifts with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, occasionally 1:3 depending on patient acuity, allowing for focused and high-quality care. Central Carolina Hospital is a 137-bed acute care hospital that has been offering exceptional care to the Lee County community for over 115 years. They are recognized by Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center and by the American College of Cardiology as a Chest Pain Center, and have earned Heart Failure Accreditation from the American College of Cardiology. In 2024, they received the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines Stroke Rural Recognition Silver Award.

Requirements

  • Current North Carolina state or compact state RN license
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS is required within 90 days of hire
  • Associate's degree in nursing is required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • One year of RN experience in a health care setting is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
