Registered Nurse - ICU
About The Position
Veterans Engineering is seeking experienced ER/Trauma Registered Nurses for multiple night shifts at a Level I Trauma Center. Candidates must have prior Level I Trauma experience and be proficient in Cerner EMR systems. This role involves providing care to high-acuity patients, including trauma, burns, and critical care emergencies Responsibilities Shift: Nights | 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts) Unit: Surgical ICU – Trauma Neuro Surgery (32 beds) Additional Units: Medical ICU (36 beds) + 12-bed Overflow ICU Patient Ratios: 1:2 or 1:1 Scheduling: Self-scheduling; weekends required (minimum every other weekend)
Requirements
- Must have trauma, neuro, or specialty device skills
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
- 3 years of recent ICU experience
- Required Testing: UNA Dysrhythmia Exam (must pass within 24–48 hours prior to acceptance; max 2 attempts)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA preferred)
- Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
- Due to federal contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this position.
- This position supports a federal government contract and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination, depending on the agency’s background investigation requirements.
