Requirements

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduation from an acredited nursing program.
• MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Previous clinical nursing experience.
• REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse, or Graduate Nurse, Board Eligible.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• Completion of Advance Cardiac Life Support within six months of hire.
• REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Interpersonal and critical thinking skills required.
• Excellent communication and team work skills.
• Basic clinical, computer & typing skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous CV/Post-Op open heart experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients in the ICU.
• The staff nurse provides direction to non-licensed assertive personnel in providing direct patient care.
• The staff nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.
