About The Position

We are seeking qualified ICU Registered Nurses to support the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is part of a critical staffing initiative to maintain high-quality patient care during the VA’s transition to the new Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The RN will provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit and work closely with the interdisciplinary team in a high-acuity clinical setting.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)
• Current Ohio RN license or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact state
• Current CPR certification through an American Heart Association vendor
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification required for ICU assignment
• Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience within the last 3 years

Nice To Haves

• VA experience preferred
• Specialty certification preferred
• Prior ICU, critical care, or acute care experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Document care accurately and timely in accordance with VA standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
