About The Position

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Per-Diem Registered Nurse for an opening at a Hospital in Metairie, LA. This role involves delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a dynamic setting, managing a diverse patient population, and collaborating with a skilled healthcare team. The position offers a schedule based on preferred hours and days, with no client interview needed, allowing for immediate start after credentialing and login access to the platform with all open shifts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Active, unencumbered RN license from the state of LA and current BLS Certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN work experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, effective communication, cultural competency, collaboration, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-acuity, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients, managing complex conditions, advanced life support equipment (e.g., ventilators, vasoactive drips), and continuous physiological monitoring.
• Perform vigilant, ongoing patient assessment and surveillance, interpreting subtle changes in condition and responding immediately to prevent clinical deterioration.
• Administer and titrate potent medications and intravenous therapies with precision, based on comprehensive patient data and physician orders.
• Collaborate as a core member of a multidisciplinary team (physicians, specialists, respiratory therapists) to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Provide compassionate communication and support to patients and their families during critical illness, facilitating understanding and involvement in care decisions.
