About The Position

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures regarding documentation and patient confidentiality. Utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize tasks and make decisions quickly in emergency situations. Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and adjust care plans as needed. Follow strict protocols for infection control and patient safety. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Stay updated with advances in critical care nursing through continuing education and training. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects within the ICU. Work effectively in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment. Adapt to changes in patient load, staffing, and clinical needs of the unit.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse Licensure.
  • 1 year of emergency or intensive care unit experience preferred
  • Current qualifications in ACLS and BLS preferred.
  • Walking, sitting, repetitive motion, lifting minimum of 25 lbs., has the ability to stand for long periods of time i.e. 50 minutes. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position without compromising patient care.
  • Able to adjust to the high demand setting of healthcare and work cohesively with all departments in the hospital.
