About The Position

The Intermediate Care unit is a 36-bed step down unit that provides care for patients requiring closer and in-depth telemetry monitoring. Each room is equipped with hemodynamic monitors and is capable of cardiac telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry for both stable and unstable patients. The unit caters to a diverse range of adult patients with conditions including neurologic, respiratory, cardiac, renal, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, endocrine, and gynecologic issues. Additionally, care is provided for trauma, post-surgical, and behavioral patients. As a member of the patient care team, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, age-appropriate patient care and serves as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Less than 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an Intermediate Care or ICU setting.
• Advanced certification in critical care nursing.
