About The Position

The Ascension St. Vincent Adult and Pediatric Burn Center is a dedicated burn care facility in Indiana, located near our Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center. In addition to burn injuries, the Burn Center treats those with slow-healing wounds and conditions that result in the loss of skin. Hydrotherapy and physical therapy is also offered in the burn unit. In the Registered Nurse role, you will: Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Monitor, record, implement and communicate patient condition and care plan; note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care including mental and psychosocial needs and Rehabilitation needs.l Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with the multi-disciplinary team members Commitment to spiritually centered, holistic care and collaborative, open-communication team culture.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in Burn Care, Infection Control and Wound Care preferred.
  • Previous experience with critical care, ICU, & Hemodynamic Monitoring also preferred.
