Registered Nurse I (Spring 2026 New Grad Blitz) - 7B Medical Acute Care
About The Position
As an 18-bed Medical Acute Care Unit, 7B offers excellent opportunities to develop a strong foundation as you begin your nursing career. On our unit, we specialize in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine patients, including individuals with kidney disease, sepsis, pulmonary illnesses, sickle cell disease, and dermatological disorders. Our nurses work closely with the interprofessional team of physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and physical therapists to provide high-quality care and achieve safe outcomes for a diverse patient population. New graduate nurses begin with a ten-week orientation process, followed by the opportunity to pursue additional education in palliative care, wound care, and leadership development. Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
- RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
