About The Position

You will be a valued teammate of a 20-bed medical-surgical progressive unit, also known as Post Surgical 3. We are committed to delivering exceptional care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical diagnoses and conditions. Our unit includes 3 progressive beds designed for postoperative or higher-acuity surgical patients. We primarily care for hepatobiliary surgical patients as well as women’s health cases. The Surgical unit provides a great learning environment for nurses of all experience levels and interests. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in an appropriate state.
  • BSN is required.
  • RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.
  • Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) is required within 1 year of eligibility of professional certification exam.
  • Additional education, training, certifications or experience may be required within the department by the nurse leader

Nice To Haves

  • Minium two years nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
