Chuck Dawley P/R is designed with 6 prep and recovery bays to accommodate care for the Ophthalmology patients. Nurses in the unit care for adult patients before and after surgery. All surgery is performed on an outpatient basis between the hours of 7-4:00. Nurses in the unit work closely as a team and are BLS and ACLS certified. The ambulatory surgery facilities are part of the MUSC Magnet designation and are Joint Commission Accredited. The application deadline to apply for this unit is February 12, 2026. Hours Per Week: 40 Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: Monday-Friday. 4-10 hour shifts. No nights, weekends, major holidays, or call Job Summary/Purpose: Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) assists at the advanced beginner level in providing individualized, goal directed nursing care to patients and families utilizing principles and practices of the nursing process; interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.
