About The Position

The position is for a registered nurse at Lexington Medical Center, focusing on surgery administration. The role is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday to Friday and on-call responsibilities. The pay range for this position is between $34.90 and $52.35 per hour. The nurse will engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. The nurse will uphold a culture of safety, continuously evaluate patient and unit outcomes, administer medications and treatments, and maintain accurate EHR documentation. The role may require floating to other units and demands knowledge of age-specific care requirements.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in operating computer functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Additional education, training, certifications, or experience based on specialty.

Responsibilities
