About The Position

The position is for a full-time registered nurse in the Stroke Neuro Telemetry unit at Carolinas Medical Center. The nurse will work 36 hours per week, with a schedule of 7 AM to 7 PM, three shifts per week. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families from admission to post-discharge. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. The nurse will uphold and promote a culture of safety, continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, and administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely according to clinical protocols and procedures.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Additional education, training, certifications, or experience based on specialty.
