About The Position

The Registered Nurse I (RN) at Duke Primary Care-Wellesley is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies. This role involves planning, documenting, and delivering nursing services to patients and their families, while also supervising other care providers. The RN will work in a collaborative environment to ensure high-quality patient care and participate in professional development and performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program is required.
• Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• One year of RN experience is required for Level II Registered Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients according to physician orders.
• Document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• Assist healthcare personnel in the delivery of patient care.
• Maintain the environment of care including equipment and material resources.
• Prioritize work organization and identify available resources for care completion.
• Participate in professional development and maintain required competencies.
• Support the development of other staff and formal learners.
• Identify clinical or operational performance improvement opportunities and assist in related activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
