About The Position

Atrium Health Cabarrus is seeking a Registered Nurse I (RN) for the Post Surgical Care 2 unit specializing in Orthopedics. This position is full-time and requires working night shifts. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that patients receive the necessary support and treatment during their recovery process. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients and their families about post-operative care.

Requirements

• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a surgical or orthopedic unit.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to post-surgical orthopedic patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery.
• Document patient care activities and progress in medical records.
