Full Time Days Days 7a-7p 4 North - General Medical/Telemetry (32 Private beds) ¨ Specialized care of a diverse patient population with a variety of medical etiologies, including surgical diagnoses ¨ Develop a broad base of nursing skills and instincts as you care for patients through all phases of the life cycle ¨ All licensed nurses are dysrhythmia certified with option to become ACLS certified ¨ Ongoing education offerings to promote career development. Tenured, mentoring staff #RNSIND Job Summary: The Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies/procedures for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating patient functional status.

Requirements

• Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing, and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom.
• Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
• 0 - 6 months related experience.
• Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
• Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner.
• Ability to be detail oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to care for patients.
• Assesses, organizes, and completes patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural and psychosocial factors.
• Documents steps of the nursing process.
• Utilizes proper medical terminology.
• Addresses problems and progress toward goals.
• Facilitates patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources, suitable to patient age and cultural/psychosocial factors.
• Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate.
• Supports unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities as evidenced by attending in-services, meeting unit education standards, and completing variance reports.
