Requirements

  • Current Michigan RN license.
  • Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Basic Life Support certification (available upon hire).
  • Minimum 2 years in critical care setting.
  • Supervisory Experience Preferred.
  • Additional Certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP and TNCC.
  • Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required.

Responsibilities

  • Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
  • Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
  • Performs or assists with performance evaluations and corrective action processes.
  • Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs.
  • Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Facilitates staff compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
  • Leads the resolution process of complex issues and complaints.
  • Facilitates staff resilience through use of huddles, briefs, and debriefs.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
