About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The OR RN will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures. The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills, excellent teamwork abilities, and experience working in an operating room environment.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in MA.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative nursing practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Ambulatory Surgery Center experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Serve as circulating nurse in the operating room.
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies for surgical cases.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technicians to ensure safe patient care.
- Monitor patient condition and maintain sterile environment during procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Educate patients and families on pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Follow infection control, safety, and ASC protocols.
