About The Position

Saint Luke's Hospice House is seeking a full-time Hospice Nurse. At Saint Luke’s Hospice House, you will provide end of life care and symptoms management to patients. Job Description Part-time, 2 12-hour shifts per week, day shift, rotating days and weekends (3 weekend shifts in a 6-week period required) Provides direct nursing care to patients with terminal illness. Management and coordination of care to include both the patient and family. Completes initial assessment of physical, emotional, and spiritual status. Aggressive pain and symptom management, including frequent medication administration and adjustments. Management of IV infusions and titration of drips. Provides education and support related to end of life and imminent death. Open, sensitive, and non-judgmental presence accepting of different beliefs, cultures, and values. Uses electronic documentation to describe symptoms, interventions, physical assessment, education and support provided The RN will work in the Hospice house and is accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Requirements

MO and KS RN license required
Associate's in Nursing
Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
Registered Nurse - Various
Associate Degree
