Our Company Hospice of North Alabama Overview Office Location: Huntsville, AL Coverage area: Madison county Schedule: Monday – Friday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a new opportunity? Hospice of North Alabama is seeking a passionate, dedicated Hospice Admissions RN to join our team in Huntsville, AL . As a Hospice Admissions RN You will: Visit patients (in homes, hospitals, nursing facilities, etc.) who are referred for h ospice care Explain hospice services, discuss goals and care with the patient and families , answer any questions, and obtain necessary consents and legal documents Obtain medical history, current medications, and symptoms Perform comprehensive clinical assessments to determine eligibility for hospice based on Medicare/insurance guidelines Coordinate the start of services (nursing, aides, equipment, medications.) Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation
  • One year of hospice nursing experience , 3+ years preferred or similar setting such as Long-Term Care, Intensive care, or Emergency room will be considered in place of hospice nursing experience
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order
