Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Health PRN / Per Diem Flexible Visits | Lafayette, IN | Pick Up When You Want Want to keep your hospital job but earn extra income on your terms? You’ll provide meaningful, one-on-one care to patients in their homes while maintaining control of your availability. No home health experience? We will train you.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in any setting (hospital, SNF, clinic, rehab, etc.)
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Ability to travel within the Lafayette coverage area
- Comfort working independently in the field
- Sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently and be able to lift 50-100 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Home Health or Hospice experience
- HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) experience
- ASN or BSN
Responsibilities
- Completing routine skilled nursing visits
- Performing patient assessments
- Providing medication and disease-process education
- Monitoring wounds, vitals, and overall health status
- Communicating changes in condition to providers
- Coordinating care with therapists and care team members
- Documenting visits in the electronic medical record
- Following HIPAA and patient safety standards
