About The Position
Capital City Nurses, a Care Advantage Inc. company, is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional homecare services throughout the greater Maryland, and DC area . This position will be based out of our Chevy Chase, MD office and support our clients in Chevy Chase, MD and surrounding areas. Requirements
- Must possess an active DC or MD Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 1 year in a nursing role
- Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing
- Comfortable working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of an organization
- Adequate transportation for home visits with mileage reimbursement
- Computer/iPad technology skills for documentation purposes
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing nursing assessments; develop and update individualized care plans
- Manage medications, including administration and monitoring for side effects
- Monitor and document vital signs, health status, and changes in condition
- Provide wound, catheter, and ostomy care; ensure infection control compliance
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and medications
- Coordinate care with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Oversee caregivers/CNAs and ensure quality of care
- Complete all documentation per state regulations and clinical standards
