About The Position

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is located in Nashville Tennessee and is a registered professional nurse who is accountable to the HBPC Program Director. They function as a day to day clinical leader, directing and guiding the nursing staff to ensure delivery of safe, high quality care. This includes the management, supervision, and evaluation of care delivered by the HBPC nursing staff. As a registered nurse, the Assistant Nurse Manager is also responsible for contributing to the establishment and implementation of evidenced-based nursing standards of practice. They create a positive work environment to enhance care delivery and professional development of clinically competent staff. The ANM promotes, creates, demonstrates, and ensures a culturally diverse workforce in which the values and needs of all individuals are respected. They are responsible for planning holistic, comprehensive patient care with focus on an interdisciplinary approach. They maintain expertise in community care services. Another key focus will be how HBPC participates within the complex array of Community Based Services and non-institutionalized care. Emphasis is placed on the transition of patient care from the inpatient to the outpatient setting. The ANM will also possess knowledge of the Joint Commission Standards for Home Care Program and apply the National Patient Safety Goals to the home care setting. The Assistant Nurse Manager makes certain appropriate care is delivered and identifies and resolves problems which may impact patient care and service operations.
