About The Position
Registered Nurse (RN) GYN/Antepartum – Full-time Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together · Work location\: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104 · The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET , and Texas 10-Step facility, and Maternal Level IV designated facility · Work hours\: Full Time Nights (6\:45AM-7\:15PM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements GYN/Antepartum Department highlights: · Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth · Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team · Women’s Services (GYN/Antepartum) 27-bed unit combining GYN, High Risk Antepartum, Breast surgery and Postpartum patients · Provide care to GYN, post-surgical patients - variety of surgeries to include hysterectomies, breast surgeries; Postpartum (NICU moms), and Antepartum patients (all gestation levels)
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Nursing Diploma required
- CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
- One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program.
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
Nice To Haves
- BSN is preferred
- One year or more of GYN, Antepartum, Women’s Services RN experience strongly preferred
- Fetal monitoring (EFM) knowledge and experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
