About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - North Garland is seeking a Registered Nurse GI to join their dynamic environment dedicated to delivering top-notch outpatient surgical services. This multi-specialty surgery center is equipped to handle a diverse range of outpatient surgical procedures, offering a high-quality, convenient, and service-oriented alternative to larger hospitals. The facility features state-of-the-art equipment, allowing surgeons to perform procedures in various specialties including Orthopedic Surgery, ENT, GI, Podiatry, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, Colon and Rectal Surgery, and General Surgery. With 6 operating rooms, the center aims to provide first-class surgical services. Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - North Garland is a joint venture with USPI, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that encourages growth, innovation, and continuous learning. The role offers work-life harmony with no call responsibilities and holidays off.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Minimum of one-year experience in Outpatient Endoscopy or surgery
- Currently licensed in the state
- CPR required, advanced life support certification required
- Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities
- Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position
Responsibilities
- plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients in the Endoscopy nursing role
- Provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility
- Communicates appropriate information to other team members
- Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and general cleanliness of the unit
- May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager, which may include but are not limited to providing patient care in other peri-operative departments, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement projects
