Registered Nurse GI Circulator at Baylor Surgicare at Denton: Under the direction of the charge nurse and clinical director, the Procedure Room Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to the care of the patient experiencing a GI procedure. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates perioperative care for patients having GI procedures in an ambulatory surgery center Provides care following the policies and procedures of the Center and demonstrates knowledge of SGNA standards of practice Makes decisions regarding patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and other members of the health care team Clinically proficient in nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of adult and geriatric patient Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks, use critical thinking skills, and be flexible as job priorities change. Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with physicians, patients, staff, and all members of the healthcare team Cognizant of the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs of the patient Accurately documents nursing care

Requirements

• Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas
• BCLS/ACLS

Nice To Haves

• Experience in GI procedures preferred

Responsibilities
