The role ensures that patients' physical, psychosocial, and general health needs are identified and met.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
- Current BLS (CPR) from American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- One-year experience in a psychiatric setting.
- Emergency Room or Psyche experience
Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Delivers health education, counseling, and promotes wellness and illness prevention.
- Supports communication needs of patients and families.
- Uses knowledge of cognitive, emotional, developmental, and behavioral disorders in care delivery.
- Performs crisis intervention as needed.
- Participates in quality improvement activities.
- Adheres to established standards of patient care and maintains confidentiality of PHI.
- Completes additional duties as assigned to support the hospital's mission and vision.
