The role ensures that patients' physical, psychosocial, and general health needs are identified and met.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Current BLS (CPR) from American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • Emergency Room or Psyche experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Delivers health education, counseling, and promotes wellness and illness prevention.
  • Supports communication needs of patients and families.
  • Uses knowledge of cognitive, emotional, developmental, and behavioral disorders in care delivery.
  • Performs crisis intervention as needed.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities.
  • Adheres to established standards of patient care and maintains confidentiality of PHI.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned to support the hospital's mission and vision.
