About The Position
Registered Nurse General Surgery OR Start Date: Immediate Shift: 6:45am - 3:15pm Estimated Pay Package: $1900 (including stipend)
Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Minimum one year of experience working in an Operating Room environment, preferably in General Surgery.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical protocols.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment to ensure a safe and efficient surgical procedure.
- Assist surgical teams during general surgery operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, comfort, and overall status pre-, intra-, and post-operative.
- Administer medications and provide care as per physician instructions and standard protocols.
- Ensure compliance with infection control practices and safety standards within the OR.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation related to patient care and surgical interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
