About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Gastrointestinal Lab at Intermountain Healthcare is a professional caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. This role requires a compassionate approach to care, particularly for patients experiencing gastrointestinal issues. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing technology and evidence-based practices to ensure high-quality care and coordination with other healthcare team members.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
• Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• At least one year of experience in a GI Lab, Surgery Center, or Critical Care setting (highly preferred).
• Ability to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within four years of hire unless possessing 15 years of proven continuous RN experience in an acute care setting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Surgery
• ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications as appropriate for unit or service.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care needs in the GI Lab.
• Plan and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Utilize technology and therapeutic interventions in patient care.
• Coordinate care with other health team members.
• Recognize and address patients' psychological and physical needs.
• Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines.
