About The Position

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care for each resident. You will play a critical role in ensuring quality care, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. Grounded in the Jewish values of dignity, compassion, and community, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living, fondly referred to in the past as 'the Jewish Home,' was founded in 1871. Today, 150 years later, it continues to build upon its legacy of enriching the lives of older adults.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Two years of acute or long-term care experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Skilled in clinical assessment, supervision, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and initiate individualized care plans based on resident needs upon admission.
  • Continuously assess residents and update care plans accordingly.
  • Communicate significant changes in residents’ conditions to the appropriate health care team members.
  • Implement appropriate nursing interventions, including discharge planning and resident education as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and provide guidance to LVNs and CNAs.
  • Conduct initial shift rounds to establish a baseline assessment and provide oversight of resident care.
  • Direct and supervise daily nursing care delivery on the unit.
  • Document all care provided concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Assume charge responsibilities and supervise unit operations in the absence of the head nurse.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines, including Title 22.
  • Foster a professional and collaborative working environment among all health care team members.
  • Accept reassignment as needed to ensure resident care needs are met.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
