About The Position

HCA Houston ER 24/7 - Bellaire is seeking a Registered Nurse Emergency to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare. The Registered Nurse will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and nursing standards. The RN will collaborate with medical providers and other care team members to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, serving as an advocate for patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Texas licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • 1 year of acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests and strive to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
  • Teach patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
  • Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding for patients and families.
  • Prepare patients and families/caregivers for future self-management, including non-medicinal follow-up measures such as healthy diet and exercise.
