About The Position

As a Registered Nurse FSED Auburndale RN with HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital, you will coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department. You will collaborate with medical providers and other members of the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models. The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.

Requirements

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and strive to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teach patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects.
• Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Prepare patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
