About The Position

The Registered Nurse Freestanding ER Palm Lakes at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is responsible for providing professional nursing care within the Emergency Department. Requirements

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or recognized Compact Licensure.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1 year of acute care experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care within the Emergency Department.
• Coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
• Determine priorities of care based on patients' physical and psychosocial needs.
• Communicate with ED physicians regarding changes in patient's status and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
