The nurse forensic expertise is dedicated to meeting forensic medical needs in the community. The scope of service includes any patient impacted by sexual assault, interpersonal/familial violence, pediatric physical abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. The forensic medical examination is offered to medically appropriate patients in a setting located just outside of the Emergency Department to provide privacy to patients that have been victimized. An attached waiting area allows for the patient's support systems to be available during the examination. The forensic examiner team at WYH provides this service 24/7 in our ED and at two of our community-based Children's Advocacy Centers. This is a Full-Time position with a 0.9 FTE/72 hours biweekly schedule, working from 1100-2300/2300-1100, every 3rd weekend, and rotating holidays. Eligible for shift differentials.
